Indoor Air Quality Services
Often times building occupants experience chronic illness or irritation which may be the result of allergens, irritants, asphyxiants, carcinogens, or likewise harmful conditions in the built environment. At Insight, we have qualified and experienced personnel who can inspect and determine possible causes of these conditions.
Insight conducts all IAQ investigations using interviews and observations to identify the past development and use of a space. The occupancy patterns and activities undertaken in those spaces are used to formulate a hypothesis as to what commonalities exist in occupant symptoms, their geographic proximity, mechanical distribution relationships, etc. As with all the services we provide we offer complete confidentiality and discretion in these delicate matters.
When evaluating Indoor Air Quality it is imperative to have an understanding of ventilation efficiency requirements for any given space. Measurement of temperature, relative humidity and Carbon Dioxide degradation over time, as they play a critical role in how well an HVAC system meets the needs of its occupants.
Improperly configured, set and designed handling systems are most often a major contributing factor in buildings with persons demonstrating Building Related Illness (BRI) symptoms.
