Lead Inspections
Insight Environmental offers lead inspection services for real property transactions, in anticipation of demolition/renovation activities, and as part of Risk Assessment services. Lead-Based Paint inspection services employ a portable X-Ray Fluorescence Analyzer (XRF) for reliable in-situ analysis of suspect lead containing paint films and varnishes. The XRF is superior to conventional methods as it is non-destructive, highly reliable, and provides instantaneous results. All inspections conform to the most recent guidelines as established by the US Department of Housing and urban Development (HUD), the Evaluation and Control of Lead-Based Paint Hazards in Housing, and are conducted by EPA trained and certified inspectors.
Insight offers considerable expertise in the area of lead risk assessment, conducting hazard screens and Elevated Blood Level investigation services. In the real world, it is often the case that more than one source of lead has contributed to an individual’s total body burden of lead. It is critical to know what the sources and pathways are for lead exposure in both children and adults to have an accurate determination of causes of lead poisoning.
